A society aimed at bright ladies over 50. The Red Hat Society was formed in California in 1998, and now has over a million members worldwide. We greet middle age with verve, humour and élan, and believe silliness is the comedy relief of life, and since we are all in it together we might as well join hands and go for it together.
Underneath the frivolity we share the common bond of affection, forged by common life experiences and a genuine enthusiasm for wherever life takes us next. The ABSOLUTE requirement is that each member MUST wear a red hat and purple clothing to each and every club event. If under 50, one wears a pink hat and lavender outfit. Membership is set at $10 per year to cover postage and each member pays her own way to each event.
